October 15, 2009 – I brought cupcakes to office today.

 

October 13, 2009 – I’ve started watching ‘Glee’ on Hulu. Now some of those Kathy Griffin references are starting to make sense…

 

October 11, 2009 – You guessed it… I was invited to the Ghost Hounders party as a joke. The final moments played out a bit like “Carrie.”

 

October 10, 2009 – I was invited to a Ghost Hounders party… but none of the other Ghost Raiders were invited. AWKWARD.

 

October 8, 2009 – Saw Kathy Griffin at the Chicago Theater. I have NO IDEA what she was talking about.

 

October 6, 2009 – I had a Psychic Reading done, and the medium told me that I had less than a month to live. If you don’t hear from me for a while… sound the alarm!

 

October 5, 2009 – I met Lorraine Warren, famous Demonologist! She’s was so lovely and elegant… and TOTALLY creepy.

 

October 3, 2009 – My on-off girlfriend Monica IM’d me and told me she wanted to get back together! She was insanely jealous of my previous relationship with a Mayan gal who looked just like Halle Berry.

 

October 1, 2009 – The Halloween season has begun! That means we here at GR HQ are busier than ever! (STOP PRANKING US “PRIVATE NUMBER!”)

 

 

September 29, 2009 – My Mayan girlfriend dumped me because she found out that I had been using an old picture of Gore Vidal as my personal photo.

 

September 26, 2009 – Just read that some guy from my high school is now serving in the Cabinet of the Obama White House. Wow. FYI – I make crappy shorts for the inter-webs, so I kind of feel like shit right now…

 

September 23, 2009 – The team is going to be spending the night at Between Lounge on Milwaukee and Division. Employees there seem to believe that spectral beings haunt the kitchen there.

 

September 20, 2009 – After extensive research, Liz found out that Jane Fonda is not dead.

 

September 17, 2009 – Did a “sit” at the Army/Navy store on Lincoln. Urban Legend has it that the ghost of Jane Fonda haunts the place after dark.

 

September 14, 2009 – Watched all three seasons of ‘Arrested Development’ and cried when I listened to the commentary.

 

September 11, 2009 – Spent the day listening to Alan Jackson.

 

September 10, 2009 – I started talking to a Mayan chick from eHarmony. She kind of looks like Halle Berry and she believes that the world is going to end in 2012.

 

September 8, 2009 – EVERYTHING IS OK. Gary’s Ma posted bail… and the two of us are fine. Legally, that’s all I can say about the incident.

 

September 5, 2009 – It’s Labor Day, bitches! Gary and I are planning on setting fire to some garbage cans in the alley behind the Sears Tower. Nothing says ‘Happy Labor Day’ like corporate sabotage!

 

September 4, 2009 – I started working out again. My quads are harder than Sudoku.

 

September 1, 2009 – The Marathon station on Foster and Broadway is definitely NOT haunted. There has to be a non-paranormal explanation for that missing candy…

August 26, 2009 – I've recently joined the world of online dating. I don’t know why I didn’t do this earlier. All the chicks online are HOT!

 

August 24, 2009 – The team spent the night at the Day’s Inn on Diversey/Clark. Not sure yet if it’s haunted – but they have VERY comfortable rooms and a complimentary Continental breakfast.

 

August 22, 2009 – The team did a “sit” at the dilapidated, but charming Portage Theater in ‘beautiful’ Northwest Chicago. Still going through the evidence… but it seems that the Kotex™ Machine in the ladies room was cursed by an angry Romanian in the late 1960s. Strange going-ins have been reported since…

 

August 20, 2009 – Trying to forget Monica by picking up some hobbies. I met up with a group of ‘Leather Enthusiasts.’ Not what I was expecting…

 

August 16, 2009 – Happy Birthday, Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone!

 

August 14, 2009 – Played mini-golf with Gary. I’m very embarrassed by his 9^th hole shenanigans. Also – we owe the Bunny Hutch $87.32.

 

August 11, 2009 – The recession is really kicking my ass. I now order exclusively from the Dollar Menu™.

 

August 9, 2009 – Monica broke up with me and is now dating a Ghost Hounder. I HATE the Ghost Hounders.

July 18, 2009 - As far as we can tell, there are no ghosts at Parrot's Bar and Grill on Halsted and Wellington. Here's a shout out to Parrot's - best bar in Chicago!

July, 14 2009 - The Ghost Raiders did a sit at The Admiral Strip Club. First - no booze if it's bottomless? Second - strippers (alive OR dead) are MEAN.

July, 11 2009 - I've been summoned to Jury Duty. They're all guilty as far as I'm concerned. Guilty, guilty, guilty... except for the cute ones. They usually have a pretty good excuse. (Like being CUTE!)

July 9, 2009 - The team had a run-in with the cops at Rosehill Cemetery. We were doing a sit by Hoagy Carmichael's (Chicago Jazz Musician, b. 1899 - d. 1981) grave - and Hoff set off a Roman Candle. Don't ask... it was Liz's idea.

July 5, 2009 - Just dropped my on-off girlfriend Monica off at O'Hare. It's official - we are back ON.

July 4, 2009 - Happy 4th! The Ghost Raiders investigated a haunted fireworks display in Gurnee. Not too much supernatural activity, AND not a good place to smoke a cigarette. Lesson learned.

July 1, 2009 - I took Monica to Dave and Busters. She's convinced there's a ghost in the first floor bathroom.

June 29, 2009 - My on-off girlfriend Monica is in Chicago! Also - check out Episode 5!!!!

June 28, 2009 - Gay Pride here in Chicago. The ghost of a former fire-and-brimstone preacher was spotted dancing at Hydrate.

June 26, 2009 - Did a "sit" at Thomas Alva Edison High School. Not enough evidence to indicate supernatural presences. The stalls in the Boy's room are amazing; I'm totally going to call Janet Osterman for a good time.

June 24, 2009 - The GR Staff played a pick-up game of b-ball with the Phantom Phinders. We lost, so we put baking soda in Dan Beman's gas tank. Then we got drunk. Best Wednesday Ever.

June 22, 2009 - Got a call from a woman in Northern Illinois who swears the ghost of her dead Jack Russell Terrier humps her leg when she watches JEOPARDY! I don't think we're making the trip to Dekalb. We're sort of focused on humans.

May 1, 2009 - We've been invited to investigate an abandoned TGI Friday's. Local legend has it that a phantom bartender continues to haunt the location... and make watered down Mai Tais.

April 25, 2009 - The GR team recorded some really weird EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena.) Jack thinks it's a message from beyond, but I think it kind of sounds like "Louie Louie."

 

April 19, 2009 - Some things come back to bite you... I found one of Liz's old commercials on YouTube!  Shove it, Liz.

 

 

April 15, 2009 - It's tax day, and that means one thing... TEA BAGGING!

April 10, 2009 - Liz challenged the team to a drinking contest. I was the last man standing, yet someone wrote all over my face with a Sharpie. I know who did it... and this is not over, Liz Frehley!

February, 14 2009 - Love was in the air here at GR HQ! My on-off girlfriend Monica sent me an e-card, Hoff and Liz ordered take-out, and Gary and Jack spent the night in the Cook County Drunk Tank. They don't like to talk about that.

 

February, 2 2009 - Did you know that you shouldn't throw water on a citronella candle? Long story short, I was trying to put out the flame - and - well, let's just say: lesson learned.

 

January, 27 2009 - Jack is working with some cable networks to get our ghost footage out there. I would give my left nut (so to speak) to be on Bravo.

 

January 11, 2009 - Gary is hosting the Golden Globes in his Ma's basement. I'm going for that chick who never makes movies any more who's all stripper-y in "The Wrestler." I hated that movie.
